Bags of Love

Bags of Love is an emergency disaster relief program with the intent of providing emergency hampers. This operation is part of Global Care. Bags of Love is an important ministry, but is part of a larger operation:

"Global Care understands the immense loss and devastation that people feel following a natural disaster, which is why we help in disaster zones by lending a hand and offering hope. Whether it’s providing emergency accommodation, food and basic hygiene packs; or clearing mud, cleaning walls and removing rubbish; or being a listening ear and offering support, Global Care works to rebuild lives."

"Those affected often feel vulnerable and distressed, so Global Care works together with other relief organisations to offer practical and emotional support, and help to lift the burden."

"Disaster relief volunteers are mostly from INC (International Network of Churches) around Australia, who spring into action if there is a natural disaster. Our volunteers often travel interstate to help in disaster zones, and take annual leave from their jobs, to help those affected."

Embassy Church's Bags of Love ministry is organised and run by Graham and Sharon Lavell who can be contacted directly with the mobile number below.
